THANKS FOR TRYING- WE JUST WERE A LITTLE TOO LATE

Sunday morning when I woke up and checked on Nicky his paw pads were freezing cold and his eyes were not that responsive.

Even though he had an appointment for Monday we still rushed him over to the Vet.

The vet came in and told us that "your cat is dying" and his body temperature was 93 degrees- well below the normal that is like 100-102 degrees for felines.

He was slowly dying and there was not much that could be done because it took too long to raise funds.

So I made one of the hardest decisions of my life and agreed to let the vet euthanize him and send him over the rainbow bridge to end his suffering.

After that we decided that unused donations- unless one of you contact me personally will be sent to a new organization that helps pets in emergency and disaster situations called the Red Paw Emergency Relief Team.

I am really broken apart by all this. If he was able to get treatment when he was taken in to the vet two weeks ago my cat, that I raised from birth, may still be with us.

Thanks to everyone that helped raise the funds to get him treatment.

We just got the right amount a little too late and his body gave up before we could get him the help he deserved from the start.
